My Inspiration: Mark Jordan

I just read a story online from one of my local news outlets about a guy named Mark Jordan who, according to Guinness World Reports, has just broken the world record for number of pull-ups done in 24 hours. He performed a remarkable 4,321 pull-ups breaking the previous record of 4,210 pull-ups.

But the really incredible thing is that Mark Jordan if 54 years old. He’s quoted as saying:

“My mission … is to let everybody know that it’s never too late to start to make a difference as far as improving and optimizing your health.”

I’ve previously written about other inspirations, including a a woman who took up weight training at age 91 and a 74-year-old body builder, and I thought Mr. Jordan deserved to be added to the list.

Like he said, it’s never too late to start building strength and improving your health.

I found a video on YouTube of him being filmed while he was in the process of challenging the pull-up record. Enjoy.

You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.
